I know so many ppl over the years have tried to bring it back but now I'm doing it, I'm compiling every model, map, and pack that I can find online and I'm creating one super pack that I will post as a torrent on every torrent site I know of and will continue to seed it forever. I've got about 30 friends here who are into lan parties and dbz and can't wait to get a hold of this, so anyone willing to help me out by sending models and maps etc. please email me at DarthBalls1138@gmail.com and also I'm not the most familiar with the quake3 structure so if anyone is willing to help with some of the issues that arise from mixing various packs that would be great too! Thanx and Viva La BFP!

Or you can talk to me on AIM when I'm on, the sn is DarthBalls1138 and I have a question, how come the majority of BFP sites I go to are in German?

I would suggest against it.. As then you will simply be slated, like E-BFP was, for not getting permission from all the creaters.
I suggest that people simply use the normal BFP1.2 with rodneys models and other ''standard'' attackset models. -- if my RC/O fix was more spread, then things would be alot easier.
I'm sure i have a few half-finished models, I'll see what I can cook up, and maybe release a few more. Which might generate some more interest.

BFP itself continually got played (with db/z/gt models) regardless of the fact that the people who made the models didn't have permission from the people who owned the rights to the characters. And EBFP may have pretty much died, but so did BFP and EBFP got a lot of playing time by a lot of people before it happened. I'm not saying everyone who played BFP played EBFP, but not everyone who plays videogames played BFP. I'm sorry if people don't want to play simply because this end-all pack didn't have permission from all the model creators, it's a great game and I've generated a lot of interest in the corner of the gaming community I'm a part of, and they are all gunning to play it, not that they haven't before, they know it's a great game, they just never took the time to grab all the models off the internet, it's time they would rather spend actually playing. Anyway BFP will be back up for at least about 30 people and chances are it will go strong as a game we play everyweek (everyday for some) untill something better for db/z/gt comes out. So play at your own risk, I do not have permission, but I'm trying my best to save a game I love, and it would be great if everyone else online who loved it plays it again because I do this, but if you don't want to then suit yourself, because for me and my friends, bfp will never die!

Another subject I figure I ought to bring up about this pack, if you've never played stand-alone bid for power, mine will install the same way, it will NOT require you to have quake3 installed, it will install bid for power 1.2 for you along with the quake 3 engine (minus a lot of stuff to save space, so you can't really play quake 3) and all the dbz maps and models and what not, I'm removing the weird characters that the official bfp came with and I'm even reworking the soundtrack, I've gotten over 4 gigs worth of models and maps so far, I've got to weed out all the copies and try to track down those elusive ones I've only seen mention of but no download link for, along with the ones where the link was broken and I haven't found any other links for them, not to mention, if ryokovv006 is releasing new models, and some other people I have seen online has made mention of doing the same thing, then I'll have to wait untill those are released to add them in, hopefully it won't take more than a couple of months.
Also I've noticed this error in bfp where at the character select screen, you can't switch between too many characters before it says something about not having enough memory? Does anyone know how to fix this?

first of all, if you bundle the quake engine with it, (we're talking about that 4mb rar which got about yea?) then you could be bummed by ID Software. Just thought i'd best mention that. Copyright issues, obviously.
Also, i hope you have a decent webhost, if you go through with this. Because if you have 4gig of models (albeit with doubles) its still gonna be a big file, which you're not going to be able to host for free or anything.
As you can probably tell, i am not very keen on the idea, and dont really think it will take off. However, I'm not going to stand in your way. If you want models which you cant find anymore, I may be able to help as I have a few cds around somewhere with loads of old bfp stuff.
As for the select screen, the more memory you give to quake/bfp the more models you can load.. the default its set to 56MB. you can add the following command to the q3config.cfg, or just type it in the console, to give quake more memory. com_hunkmegs 320 obviously, dont give quake more memory than your system actually has, and dont give it exactly the amount you have either.
On a side note; if you do add any of my models to this pack, please give credit where due, in the readme files. thanks.

I know if they find out who I am then ya I could get in a lot of trouble, but oh well, I'm not even crediting myself for creating the pack, but I'll try to create a rather comprehensive list of people who worked on models, maps, etc., including you, and include that as a text file.
As for size I already said I gotta weed out the doubles, and as for hosting, I already mentioned in my first post that I would be releasing it as a torrent, if you don't know what those are a quick google search will help (not trying to be a smart @$$, some people don't know what torrents are).
Thanx for the memory trick, and any models (maps, etc.) that you have I would be grateful if you could find a way that you would want send them to me (aim, ftp, torrent, etc.), just tell me how you want to and I will look through them all and anything I don't already have I will include in the pack, thanx!

By the way, I check these forums everyday for replies, I wish everyone else would find the time to do the same! Also, in case you don't know all of your tqt winsite files are down, could you send me links to all of those files elsewhere or get them to me some other way, also anything else you have to offer would be great, thanx!

I have another question, a few years back me and my friends came up with a game mode we called the mad hatter, one person would use the inf ki cheat and fly around as fast as possible while just throwing out as many ki balls as possible, everyone else had to try and shoot him down while dodging all of the ki balls, everyone could also shoot each other to try and slow each other down and what not, anyway the person who killed the mad hatter won. Problem is I don't have the ki cheat file anymore, I know some of the console commands, does anyone know how to make them into a file? Also does anyone know how to make the ki boost have a toggle switch like flying instead of having to hold a button down the whole tiime? Thanx

hmm, i guess to get ininite ki the following commands would be used g_flightCost 0 g_flightCostPct 0 g_boostCost 0 g_boostCostPct 0 g_blockCost 0 g_blockCostPct 3 g_blockLength 3 g_blockDelay 2 g_kiRegen 0 g_kiRegenPct 0.6 g_kiCharge 0 g_kiChargePct 15 g_chargeDelay 0 g_maxSpawnPL 999 I've never used it, and havent tested it as we speak, so it might not be perfect. have a mess around with it, and see what you can make out of it. And to make them into a file, simply put the commands into an empty cfg file, and put it in the bfp folder, and run it by typing /exec whatever
And no, i dont use aim these days, only msn.
as for ki-toggle, thats in the control settings isnt it? under the misc section.. though i've never used it.. i just assume it works?
